Walking to my first Library Board Meeting
Noticed brilliant orange randomly placed
Flowers of unusually large shapes
At the edge of one of the grassy yards
Wow! Took off my sunglasses to get a closer look
Then glanced around sheepishly to see if anyone was watching
Because the cool-shaped orange flowers were
Just ragged weathered construction marker flags
