Brown fields, gold fields

evergreens, tall dead grasses

entirely frost sharpened

The north sides vividly, thickly white

starkly defined

yet

delicately shaped

Freezing north wind blows

clumps of ice covered plant life

    • I’ve heard you guys are loaded with snow! My father grew up in northern North Dakota and he loves telling about the winters there. It’s snowing right now and we’re looking about two inches on the ground and about four by tomorrow. We’re thinking WOW! Ha.
