This is the method of dating tree rings (growth rings) to the exact year the tree was formed, in order to understand a tree’s age and the atmospheric conditions throughout history. Each ring in a tree, going around its core, shows approximately one year.
Spiritually: Christians show growth rings in their lives, growth in the fruits of the Spirit and the knowledge of God, which surge or decline during the good periods and the tragic fires of life. It’s a marvel to find elderly Christians (like ancient trees) who can teach others about the spiritual conditions throughout history… dendrochronology.
