Carapace

(CARE-uh-pace)

A carapace is the upper hard shell of a turtle, any shellfish, or a spider.

Spiritually: The upper hard shell of protection for a Christian is the Helmet of Salvation (Ephesians 6:10-18) …carapace

Reify

Reify (REE-ih-fy) is making something that is abstract more concrete or real, or bringing something into being.

Spiritually: The world has made religion an abstract, unreal thing that can be manipulated and rearranged by anyone for any desire.  But, if we want religion to be real and concrete, we must read, study, and follow the Bible, Jesus Christ, and Jehovah God.  They will never change (Hebrews 13:8; 1 Peter 1:25), and their way of doing things will bring into being our real spiritual life…reify.

Aquaculture

The rearing of water plants or the cultivation of water plants for food.

Spiritually: Christianity is the rearing of water-immersed souls in Christ or the cultivation of water-immersed souls in Christ for eternal life in heaven…like aquaculture, just different plants…aquaculture

A(cts 2:37-47; Acts 8:12-38; and more)

Phonology

The system of relationships among the sounds of speech that combine into the basic parts of a language.  The branch of language-study dealing with systems of sounds, especially in a particular language.

Spiritually: Jesus is The Word and The Alphabet (the A and Z or the Alpha and Omega in Greek, Rev. 21:5, 6)).  In Him we live and move and have our very being.  “Jesus” is the “system” of language: thoughts, sounds, letters, words, writings, and readings (John 1).  Without Him, we would just be barking or mooing somewhere…phonology.

Mooch

To ask for or obtain (something) without paying for it; or loiter in a bored or listless manner; or a beggar or a scrounger in a bad sense.

Spiritually: Many who claim to be Christians are moochers, wanting all the blessings of heaven or of other church members without “paying for it”.  We don’t always realize when someone is mooching off of us, but God knows, because He knows our hearts and our intentions (1 Corinthians 3:20; Hebrews 4:12).  Moochers are the weeds in Christ’s field of grain (Matthew 13:24-30; 36-43), always taking, having no energy for the Lord’s work, or they do just enough to look good…mooching.
