Situated throughout a titanic-sized gold-colored sea
Huge circular contours of green plant life surface here and there
Each isle contains dark brown skeletal winter trees
evergreens standing out contentedly amongst them
No palm trees in this part of the ocean
Humans inhabit some of the larger islands
where tall, white or gray castles overshadow the dwellings
Long, stretched-out toothy reefs capture plants and flotsam
tumbling through occasional stormy waters
Signal buoys mark speeds and warnings
next to the sailing lanes, the swift moving currents
Creatures tend to leap in front of ships and boats
traveling between the isles
Not intended as a vacation paradise unless
one savors solitude, appreciates the touch of wind
enjoys the oceanic miles of free space
