Paralogism is a piece of illogical or false reasoning, especially one that seems logical or that the reasoner believes to be logical. From Greek: “To reason falsely.”
Spiritually: the Bible is loaded with paralogisms, starting when Satan taught Adam and Eve superficial logic by twisting God’s words. Most of us seem to fall for this kind of reasoning and when given truth, we turn from it (Cain ignored God’s truth and committed murder); in Jesus’ day, the religious leaders, preferred twisting God’s words in the Law of Moses to suit their desires (Mark 7)—paralogism
